Wei Wai Kum First Nation provides post-secondary education funding to support members pursuing certificate, diploma, and degree programs. Both part-time and full-time students may receive funding for tuition, books, and required supplies. Full-time students are also eligible to receive a living allowance to assist with living expenses while completing their studies.
Funding is awarded through an annual application process. Members must submit a complete post-secondary funding application package to the Education Coordinator by 4:00 pm on March 31 each year (for September enrollment), Oct 31 (for January enrollment), and Apr 15 (for Spring/Summer enrollment), in order to be considered for support in the upcoming academic year.
According to the Nation’s post-secondary policies and guidelines, applicants must:

- Have resided in Canada for the past 12 months
- Be accepted to or registered in an accredited post-secondary institution
- Be enrolled in a program that is at least one academic year in length
- Be enrolled in a program that requires Grade 12 or equivalent for admission

Through this funding, Wei Wai Kum continues to invest in the education, skills, and future leadership of its members.
