Overview
The Liǧʷiɫdax̌ʷ Research Centre is a shared initiative of the We Wai Kai, Wei Wai Kum, and Kwiakah Nations. Together, we care for the records, knowledge, and stories that reflect the deep history and cultural identity of the Liǧʷiɫdax̌ʷ people.
The Research Centre manages a growing collection of materials documenting Liǧʷiɫdax̌ʷ history, language, and community knowledge. Our work brings together archival preservation, genealogical research, and community-based education.
This work supports the recognition of rights and title through historical documentation, strengthens cultural continuity by connecting Elders, families, and youth, and contributes to public education through interpretive signage, exhibitions, and digital resources.
The Liǧʷiɫdax̌ʷ Research Centre plays an important role in cultural revitalization, ensuring that our histories are protected and shared with care, respect, and accuracy.
